Make my car louder (Mufflers, etc)?

Question

I have a Mazda 3 and want to give it a little sound. Preferably a small deep growl. I dont want anything extremely noticeable.

A performance boost would obviously be a positive.

I dont want to spend too much, so I am not looking into a full exhaust and muffler tear out.

Engine - get an intake

exhaust - remove cat converter and put an ebay muffler on. (cheapest)

An intake system will give you a good sound and a little performance boost too.

cut it off, it would be invisible, or get a cat back system
