There are actually 44 songs on the 2 disc set!
Three new tracks are also included. Of these, "How Do You Fall in Love" reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart in late 1998. The follow-up single, "Keepin' Up," reached the Top 20 in early 1999, while "Five O'Clock 500" was not released as a single.Source(s): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/For_the_Record http://www.amazon.com/Record-41-Number-One-Hits/dp...

Well, usually they will release a greatest hits cd and in order for people to actually want to purchase it, they will add a new song. So maybe there was at the time it came out a new song that was released with it.
