it is obvious that Iran will within the next five years, achieve its goal of nuclear weapons?

armaments.

obama is willing to accept it he has little choice in the matter anyway.

with both china and russia supporting iran and the usa not overly eager to side with israel on anything, what is the likely outcome. already hizbullah is gearing up for the next war with israel and maybe syria will join in overtly this time.

and then there is hamas......

what is israel's best course of action or inaction.???

Obama seems to think that talking nice to the Iranian government will make them not want to develop a nuclear weapon.

Nice talk can get you killed when you are dealing with irrational people.

Cite ONE credible (ie, not Fox news etc) link that proves Iran is trying to develop nukes. You are buying into the same bullshite that the US government spewed out when it came to persuading everyone that Iraq had WMD's and was an imminent threat. For God's sake, grow a brain and stop listening to the spin.

Greg's Wife; stop, my sides are aching from laughter...did you say Israelis are God's chosen people??? Of course, then they SHOULD have nukes and decide who can and can't have them. The Israelis are the worlds' leading propagandists and warmongers, even outstripping the USA. This propaganda is easily demolished by relevant facts which you fail to mention. Fact: Israel has not signed the nuclear non-proliferation treaty. Fact: Israel has had nuclear weapons for at least 30 years. Fact: Israel has done and still does its best to conceal the existence of these weapons. Fact: as recently as 18 September Israel refused a request from the IAEA to open its nuclear plants to inspection. Fact: an unprovoked Israeli attack on Iran would be a violation of the UN charter and a war crime. And please don't claim that Iran's as-yet ambiguous nuclear activities are a provocation. What Israel most fears from Iran is not a nuclear threat to its territory, but a nuclear threat to its own nuclear domination. As for the other links you posted regarding Iran' "secret" Qom plant, it cannot manufacture the basic feed-stock (uranium hexaflouride, or UF6) used in the centrifuge-based enrichment process. It is simply another plant in which the UF6 can be enriched. Why is this distinction important? Because the IAEA has underscored, again and again, that it has a full accounting of Iran's nuclear material stockpile. There has been no diversion of nuclear material to the Qom plant (since it is under construction). The existence of the alleged enrichment plant at Qom in no way changes the nuclear material balance inside Iran today. Simply put, Iran is no closer to producing a hypothetical nuclear weapon today than it was prior to Obama's announcement concerning the Qom facility.

Nothing is "obvious", specially when it concerns politics and technology. You are right when you state, Iran is on its way ....but

the world of politics is changing every day, every minute in the

military sense -- thus we can not come to any conclusion.

With regard to the Israel-i stand, Israel is a democracy and

decisions are made democratically and not at the whims

of "one person" as would be the case in the current day Iran.

Taking those factors, "wait and see" is the attitude of Israel

while I am sure, Iran would re-evaluate their stand vis-a-vis

Israel as this latter does not constitute a danger to the

existence of Iran -- but Iran does constitute a danger

to the existence of Israel. Hope it helps.

Credible (non-fox News) IRAN IS MAKING NUCLEAR WEAPONS

Israel need to attack Iran before they are expecting it. We should support Israel in this... but with Obama... I wonder if he will. Israel is God's chosen people... It is just a matter of time.

I don't think it will be 2 yrs before Israel will be forced to fish or drop bait.Iran will kill all of Israel if given the chance.Israel is our ally so we have no choice but back her if she is attacked.Which is the right thing to do.
