What's the quickest possible time in which someone can achieve a Ph.D?

I'm interested in obtaining a Ph.D in Philosophy--it sounds useless, I know. My motives for going after this are for nothing other than the love of knowledge. In order to save as much money as I can, I'd like to achieve the Ph.D in as little time as possible, at which point I could go get qualifications in a much more practical job (such as carpentry).

I do not know the record but it took me four years for a Bachelors, slightly less than one year for a Masters and two years for my doctorate./
