Why did Guilianni say that he wanted GM and Chrysler to go bankrupt? No "takeover" of automakers?

Is he such a Smart Capitalist that he knew that many other offshore companies (Toyota/Nissan/Hyundai)

would pick up the slack and fill the gap or is he just another lying Republican who would have done exactly the same thing?

Or does he want four hundred thousand good paying manufacturing jobs to "just go away" forever?

What would Giuliani do?

The government didn't take them over. Giuliani doesn't know his own ******* from a hole in the ground.

He wants us to police the world and he hasn't even read 1 single CIA report, he's ignorant as ****.

Hes also ignorant in the matter of the bailouts, the government didn't force it on them -- the broken millionaires who run the companies came running to the government for help and agreed to their terms. The private sector handed over GM to the government.

I don't think the government should control GM either but it would be a major blow to the American economy if we lost the largest automaker/seller in the world.

Because capitalism only works if bad companies go away. The government shouldn't intervene in the free market so directly.

If GM & Chrysler has declared bankruptcy they would not have gone away, They would have restructured, changed some of the disastrous labor contracts they had and either made it or not on their own.

Don't mistake the bailout of GM & Chrysler for anything other than what it was, a Democrat inspired plan as a sop and payoff to the unions with no real concern for the taxpayer.

Why did he..because he is republican

and lock step and barrel they wanted all to go into bankruptcy

cut all social programs, not help anyone out period

Cut slash and burn to begin again was/is their motto

Shows they do agree their policies from eons ago did not work and almost brought the country to her knees

Still they rage on..blaming everyone but themselves and STILL seem to have no new ideas and still blocking any bank law reforms

Be thankful they were not in power when it hit...

Most by the way have repaid loans with some profit to tax payers

I'm pretty sure Ralph meant that he wanted them to go into Chapter 11 Bankruptcy reorganization. That would've eliminated the fat from both companies and it would've obviated the need for Obama to become Car Czar.

he would have bailed them out... but maybe in a different way... or at least a different spin...

"we're giving them a 10 billion dollar tax credit... not a bailout"

Guilianni does not care about the country his only concern is that he can point to an Obama failure.
