Since when have Judges been an authority on oil drilling! Obama is right. Some geologists say that BP's arrogance has set off a series of events that may be irreversible. There are some that think that BP has drilled into an deep-core oil volcano that cannot be stopped regardless of the horizontal drills the company claims will stop the oil plume in August.

With the emerging evidence of fissures, the quiet fear now is the methane bubble rupturing the seabed and exploding into the Gulf waters. If the bubble escapes, every ship, drilling rig and structure within the region of the bubble will instantaneously sink. All the workers, engineers, Coast Guard personnel and marine biologists measuring the oil plumes advance will instantly perish. Not to mention the catastrophic event that would follow.

With penny stocks you can make 30 percent or 40 percent profit in a few days. Learn here https://tr.im/c4BBk

The best strategy, if you do have experience type of return on a penny stock, is to sell the stock quickly.

Of course, it’s easier said than done. The natural thing to want when you see an increase in stock price is to hold the stock and hope for an even larger increase.

Penny stocks are loosely categorized companies with share prices of below $5 and with market caps of under $200 million. They are sometimes referred to as "the slot machines of the equity market" because of the money involved. There may be a good place for penny stocks in the portfolio of an experienced, advanced investor, however, if you follow this guide you will learn the most efficient strategies https://tr.im/c8109

Because it was. And it's going to be very damaging to the economy. I don't know how he could do this to the people in the Gulf, it was purely political. If it was about safety, he would have ordered the rigs to be thoroughly inspected by QUALIFIED people this time and gotten those people back to work. He has no heart.

the argument about the stocks means nothing. The value of these stocks didn't drop when the moratorium was put in place and the value didn't rise when it was lifted. There was NO fortune to be made in these investments.

    It's a dumb argument.

Because he had a financial interest in seeing to it that new permits were issued.

And he's got a good many friends who also have financial interests in gas and oil in the region.

A good many other judges did too and recused themselves, this one didn't.

The judges must list their investments, and this one did and that's how we all got to know it.

While Louisiana may have a lot of people employed in oil and gas, other states are affected and don't have that employment benefit their states, they have heavy tourist businesses that are off up to fifty percent due to the spew.

One state shouldn't be allowed to do something that affects other states based on their own interests and no one else's.

Besides, the other nearly four thousand rigs are pumping away.

If one oil rig jumps off a cliff, the others might follow. Oil rigs are not very smart animals.

A conservative, Bush appointed, federal judge with financial ties to the same oil industry that he is ruling on? You would have thought he would have passed this case on to someone who did not have a conflict of interests.

  • 1 decade ago

because it is, obama only wants to shut down the Gulf so the rigs will start drilling for Petrolbras which would make his puppet master billions

obama has actively stood in the way of the clean up in the Gulf, I couldn't believe he is really this evil until now

Because this judge is unethical and heavily invested in oil company stock.

Ethical judges who are invested in oil companies, exclude themselves from these kinds of cases/decisions.

Because it was a knee jerk reaction. Obama has a habit of opening his pie hole without thinking. Remember the Cambridge police affair? Remember him saying the AZ law was "misguided" when he hadn't even read it yet? Putting tens of thousands of people out of work was him acting "stupidly".
