all the oil coming out of gulf of mexico will it cause earthquakes or distruction over a period of times?

    The only destruction will be to wildlife living near the surface and to some of the shallow water environments. It isn't going to cause earthquakes or acid rain or any of the alarming scenarios that people dream up. The claim that the gulf is running out of oxygen is the typical exaggeration you hear from activists every time something like this happens.

    Earthquakes caused by extracting fluids from Earth are minor. I doubt you would ever feel one.

    The destruction is to sea life and economies dependent on the sea.
