Horror films needed. What is the scariest movie YOU have ever seen?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for some horror movies.

I want psychological thrillers,

something with LOTS of gore and blood,

something that is "nightmare worthy".

I need a really f***ed up movie, i've seen Texas Chainsaw Massacre:The Beginning, House of 1000 Corpses and The Devils Rejects by Rob Zombie; they made me laugh.

I have seen many horror movies and nothing is scary/gory/f***ed up enough for me, anyone up for the challenge?

Thanks in advance,

i cant remember the year of some of them on the list but majority are recent films that i did like. only one was from the 90's which is misery. i highlighted with *** the movies that belong to my favorite list which i've seen over and over again.

The Strangers- cringe-worthy at the end, and super scary to watch in the dark alone at night, you won't want to look out your window....

The Last House on the Left (new 2008-9 version)- i've never seen the original but this remake definitely delivers on the gore factor....

Watch Paranormal Activity. There is no blood/gore, but a lot of creepy, spooky stuff that deals with demon possession. I didn't sleep afterward-I was convinced that every time I heard a door creak it was a demon. xD Also watch the original Poltergeist movie. That ups the creep factor as well.

(I laugh at the Saw movies, btw, so I'm not a lightweight either or anything.)

sounds like you would like movies by directer Tashi Miike, I never watch his movies because I know better. torture porn make me sick, but I watched his episode of Masters Of Horror "MOH" by accident, not paying attention to who the director was when I put it on, "Stupid Stupid Stupid" then I kept thinking that by the end, something ridiculous would happen and make it not seem so real and gross, like what usually happens in horror movies, but no, I am now scarred for life. And buy an HBO TV show,

    The Haunted http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0102007/

Most accurate scary movie that I have seen 8D Made for TV but it's really great.

And the 2007 release of Paranormal activity for its ending. :/ not the crappy endings given in theaters.
