A nightmare On Elm Street 2010 should definitely not be on the list. It's probably the worst movie ever done.

The script seems to be written by a 10 year old, the characters were annoying and stupid, Freddy was boring and bored himself, the story didn't make much sense but it didn't matter anyway cos in the middle of the film you forget what movie you were watching and why. It couldn't suck more. And it's not scary at all. It's rather boring and annoying. Believe me.

The original was a masterpiece, one of the best horror movies ever done. Smart, fascinating, very scary, very well written excellent characters. But it's too old for your list. Too bad cos it's excellent.

Trust me, forget about the remake.

    I recommend you:

    Session 9

    The Descent

    The Mothman Prophecies

    1. One of my favorite Hitchcock films is The Trouble With Harry. It is not your typical Hitchcock film like the masterpieces such as Vertigo, North by Northwest, The Birds and Psycho. It is more of a comedy. It is a brilliant film with great performances by a young Shirley MacLaine and The Beaver. It's about a dead body that turns up in a small town, and various different people in the town believe that they are responsible for it's death. 2. The Birds- simply because I hate birds. I think they are creepy and they scare me. So whenever I watch the birds with someone I can say "see, this is why I hate birds." 3. Vertigo- because it's a classic "movie with a twist." And Jimmy Stewart and Kim Novak give great performances. 4. Frenzy- one of HItchock's more graphic films. It has a nice mix of humor and darkness. 5. This one is a toss up. Notorious is a great spy movie with crazy chemistry between Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman. I also like Marnie, which I know a lot of people don't like for various reasons. I think Tippi Hedren gives a great performance. Sean Connery keeps the suspense going in trying to figure out what happened to Marnie as a child. Shadow of a Doubt and Spellbound are also great. I hope this helps you out. And really, if you haven't seen The Trouble With Harry, go rent it!
