What kind of socks are warmest?

What do they need to be made of?

ex: "85% cotton, 10% polyester, 5% spandex"

What do I need to look for to get nice warm socks. I have circulation problems!

Thick woolen socks that are not tight.

Often socks are sold for skiing, those are warm as well as long, keeping not just your feet but also your legs warm.

If you have circulation problems the fit should be good.

If you have measured tight stockings you can wear warm socks over them, but not instead.

Cotton is not warm, not is spandex, but polyester can be warm.

But most important is how much and how the polyester and wool are used. Two pairs with the same percentages can be very different in thickness and as such in warmth.

I buy Lambswool socks from England and they are warm. I buy them on the internet, I think the Manufacturer is HJ Hall.
