My US citizenship application was denied due to lack of proof of continuous residency. Could I reapply?

I was given forms to appeal, but I have to pay another $605. I am thinking that it would be better for me to reapply than to appeal. I think the reason I was denied was because when I quit my job and gave up my apartment, I had to live with my son. They wanted proof of rental, which I did not have as I started living with my son the last 2 years since quitting my job due to a disability.

Does anyone have any information or a similar case like mine and if so, how soon can I reapply and what documents to attach as proof of continuous residency. I have been a permanent resident since 2000. I will appreciate any feed back. Thanks.
