French liaison question: il n'est plus un squelette. "plus un" -- liaison, yes or no?
Would you pronounce the s at the end of plus or not?

No, there is not.
In your example, there is no liaison because "plus" is employed with a negation word ("n' / ne").
Il n'est plus un squelette. > He is not a skeleton anymore./He is no longer a skeleton. NO LIAISON.
However, if there was no negation, there would be a liaison.Source(s): French is my first language.
