why my car revs to high?

revs at 3000 rpm and car goes only 40 km/hour

    what kind of car is it?

    it can be:

    need a tune-up

    ICV (idle control valve)

    TPS (throttle position sensor)

    is the check engine light on?

    clean the idle air control and clean out the throttle body.

    clogged CAT

    brakes or parking brake hung up

    needs a tune up really bad
