What is needed to move to the US from Canada?

I've been thinking for a little while now about moving out of my area (far out of me area) possibly to the States. However I'm not quite sure what I need to do or get done before I continue my thought process. Nor do I know where to look or what I need to look for. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Update:

I'm looking for a general change, maybe somewhere a bit warmer ;) Or eventually start somewhere and work my way south gradually. It'll definitely be a good experience.

This should help you out. It's got a list of things to do before you can come to the States

Here http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis There are a lot of different ways to come here, just find the one that is easiest for you given your current situation. :)

So why are you wanting to leave Canada and come to the States, anyway? I am actually trying to get OUT of the States LOL!!

Why would you want to move here? You have it so good in Canada. I want to move to Canada because they have more jobs there, good healthcare and some pretty intelligent people from what I can see.

You don't know how good you have it right now.
