Car crash is giving me back pain! Please Help!?
i recently was in a fender bender (Jan 18) and ever since then my back has been hurting!
I am seeing a physio therapist and i am doing stretches!
Is there anything that can help seed up the recovery? - perhaps eating something with protean to help repair muscle? anything?
i did get a MRI... i am fine, there is nothing wrong with my head :)

your back pain is caused by pinched muscles from the car crash. Pinched muscles have to be freed up to get rid of the pain, stretches will only add to the pain because you are trying to make them do what muscles that aren't in pain can do. When pinched the muscles are shorter and can't do the same amount of stretch so you can end up in more pain doing that. Here's how to free up your back muscles to get rid of the pain you are having:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.
