It depends on the type of foundation you are applying.

For Liquid Foundation I recommend using a Stippling Brush like this http://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/brushes/brushes... . I have this brush and it's such amazing quality! Most of their products are very good quality and a low price for teens like me who dont have money to buy expensive brands like mac, clinique, lancome ect. First you dab the brush on your face first to get the product evenly on and then you can swirl it around to blend it in. I use this method and it gives me an airbrushed finish.

For Powder Foundation or ANY other foundation. I recomment this Angled Foundation Brush http://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/face/face_brush... . I also have this brush and its soooo soft and great for applying my powder foundation AND liquid foundation!

You cant just buy any random brush and use it on your face. You have to make sure its a makeup brush and not a paint brush! Good luck! : )

The type of brush you would use is a thick brush..it can be any type just make sure its thick...you don't need to buy an expensive brush..as long as it works to apply foundation on your face.

I'm not sure if they have foundation brushes, but im sure a big blush brush would do the job perfectly. My friend does the same.

Honestly, you can apply foundation with any brush the is dense enough the buff the colour. For example a kabuki brush is perfect. I use it too :) but if you used...a blush brush, then obviously it wouldn't work

Well, you have your smal skinny brushes meant to be used with eye shadow. Then you have your big flufy brushes when to be used with powders (powdered foundation, blush, bronzer or clarifying powder). A foundation brush is a happy medium meant just for liquid foundation. And yes, it really does help.

Try this brush. Really good foundation brush and only $1.

it truely dosent matter. i personally only recommend foundation brushes for powder foundations and blush because sometimes liquid make up wont apply evenly with a brush applicator unless its just a concealer then it dosent matter but a good place to get them would be at makeup places in the mall and other makeup retail places. or online.

liquid foundation brushes look like this : http://www.thebodyshop-usa.com/img/packshot/produc...

powder foundation brushes look like this: http://www.origins.com/images/products/208x285/or_...

the liquid brush looks like a paintbrush

the powder brush reminds u of the the cliche brush

if anything u can google the images but i think u get the idea. it really depends on the foundation u are using

and yes, i HIGHLY recommend brushes, they really make a difference. if u get a brush make sure they are good quality. i would recommend mac and sephora brushes
