    Cross section of a piston = area = cm^2

    Coffee in an coffeepot = cups = liters or ml

    Page size of a newspaper =area = m^2 or cm^2

    Size of a cattle ranch = acres = ha

    Gasoline in your car's gas tank = gallons = liters=volume

    Paint needed to paint a house = gallons = liters=volume
