Did chamber pots have lids?

I can't imagine keeping an open bowl of THAT inside my house. Did they have lids?

    yes but only the Rich could afford these the poor had a pot with one handle the Rich had pots with 4 handles and a Lid

    and some of these Chamber pots were made by well Known European Potters ????

    in some Houses there was the washing stand with Bowl and Jug for washing and Underneath in the Cupboard was the Chamber pot "Goes under" or gzunder

    The site below has a picture of a Korean pot with a lid; otherwise no lids.

    You are a genius. If you lived a few hundred years ago you would have made a lot of money from people making their pots dirty.

    You didn't KEEP a bowl of that in your house. You emptied it at the first available opportunity.
