Can anyone recommend an author similar to Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson?

Please refrain from mentioning Terry Brooks or Terry Goodkind. They BOTH suck and everyone knows it.

    Try Ian Irvine. The Well of Echoes is a great series.

    Another to try is David Eddings.

    ok, try:

    * Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn series by Tad Williams

    * Song of Ice & Fire series by George RR Martin

    * Riftwar series by Raymond E Feist

    * Codex Alera series by Jim Butcher
