If you can get a job in Hawaii, start there. Do you have specialized skills that will justify a US firm hiring you? Or are you Native Canadian? i.e., Indigienous? You can try to get a job with an Indigenous peoples project (even in a lowly outreach worker position, a person of indigenous descent will likely have a better understanding of the issues faced by the clientele).
If Hawaii is your ultimate goal, but is too steep a start, and marrying a US citizen is not an option, then the only other path I can see is for you to get your US citizenship by getting a work visa in another state and getting naturalized. Once you achieve that, you can move anywhere in the US. Some day, Hawaii will be waiting for you.
I live in Hawaii, and have worked on hires of CA citizens.
