how much jail time can u get for withholding evidence from the police and what is it called?

i need this for my youth and law class by Thursday.

That completely depends on whether:

- You have a duty to produce evidence because of your job (such as a police officer)

- You have been served a subpoena to produce the evidence

Generally speaking, if neither of the above are true, then you won't face any jail time. It's not a crime to fail to reveal evidence.
