can you translate these (from latin) please?

1)In hominum vita longe spes est omnium rerum pretiosissima.Antiqui Romani divino cultu spem honorabant; spei pulcherrima templa et aras dedicaverunt.Spes dextera manu florum fasciculum tenebat, sinistra vestis laciniam. Primis mundi diebus, *** Pandora lovis amphoram aperuit, multa mala terram invaserunt: sola spes in amphora mansit. Spes enim in rebus adversis ultimum hominibus solacium est. Sine spe homines misere vitam agunt.

Homines a dis immortalibus ignem petebant, sed flammam in perpetuum servare nesciebant. Tum Prometheus, humanae amantissimus, ignem de caelo surripuit et hominibus donavit. Ob hanc rem Mercurius, Iovis iussu, Prometheum in monte Caucaso deligavit ad saxum clavis ferrei et aquilam, avium reginam, apposuit quae exesset violatoris iecur; quantum die aquila vorabat, tantum nocte crescebat.

Sed post multos annos Hercules aquila interfecit et Prometheum liberavit.
