what guitar should i get?
I'm looking for a good beginner guitar that's for around 300 dollars or maybe a little more if the guitar is really that good. The sound style i'm leaning more towards now is latin american, so i was thinking maybe a classical guitar. Any suggestions would be great and even better if you've owned the guitar you're recommending.

There are only three acoustic guitars that I can recommend in the $300 price range.
The Mitchell MD200S - http://www.guitarcenter.com/Mitchell-MD200S-Solid-...
The Martin LX1 - http://www.guitarcenter.com/Martin-LX1-Little-Mart...
The Baby Taylor - http://www.guitarcenter.com/New-Gear.gc?internal=1...
I have owned two Baby Taylor's and my grandchildren keep stealing them. I have played the other two guitars and they are all very easy to play and they are all very well made and sound really good.
However, your guitar teacher might insist that you get a classical guitar in which case, the - Manuel Rodriguez - http://www.guitarcenter.com/Manuel-Rodriguez-Cabal... or the Cordoba - http://www.guitarcenter.com/Cordoba-C5-Nylon-Strin... are good choices in that price range.
I do not like classical guitars because the neck is much wider than an American guitar. So, I have not owned a classical guitar. My grandson has a Cordoba and I have played it and it sounds good.

i have a Big Baby taylor acoustic guitar and i LOVE it! the kids from my guitar class loved it as well. but sadly that one costs about $600. but the good thing, there is a baby taylor which is the exact same guitar only smaller in size, so it's cuter. i love taylor guitars so i would recommend that to you.Source(s): I'm a beginner as well
