Electric car pluses and minuses:
Driving range: Of course this is the EVs downfall. It's hard to take trips over 100 miles in your electric car, because of the charging time required. Fast-charge stations will eventually fix this (Nissan has demonstrated 10-minute charging), but in the meantime a plug-in hybrid like the Chevy Volt might be a better solution.
High purchase price: Hopefully EVs will fall in price with time. In the meantime, though, gasoline is getting more and more expensive. Depending on the kind of driving you do, you may find already that the lower cost of electricity makes the higher price of the electric car worthwhile.
Efficiency: This is where the EV shines. Electric motors and batteries are around 90% efficient at utilizing energy, and almost no energy is lost in inefficient transmissions. Electric cars also don't need to idle, and can recover braking energy to recharge batteries. Contrast this to gas engines which are at best 25% efficient, and in real world traffic, only manage to reach 15% efficiency at best. Plus gasoline itself - despite being very energy dense, is pumped, refined an delivered using very inefficient processes.
Greater efficiency means less fuel (in this case, from power plants) is needed for a given number of miles driven. This is why the EV generates less overall pollution, and costs less to fuel. The cost of electricity is typically 2 to 4 cents per mile - whereas gasoline costs from 12 to 30 cents per mile, depending on the vehicle being compared.
Ride quality: The electric car's ride is smoother and quieter than the finest Rolls Royce luxury car. Electric motors make no noise, and require no gear changes. Electric cars do tend to have heavy batteries. This will compromise handling somewhat, but also gives electric cars high road stability.
Safety: despite sensational media stories about flaming batteries, gasoline is a far more dangerous substance to carry with you at freeway speeds. Statistics show us in general that about 1 in 1,000 cars go up in flames each year. With the number of electric cars now on the road, we should have seen several fiery real-world accidents involving EVs already - but we haven't seen any. This is a very good sign.
Reliability: electric motors have just one moving part, and require no maintenance at all. Think about the electric motor in your refrigerator - how it just runs and runs, perhaps for decades, with no attention at all. Would you want a gas engine in your refrigerator? Electric cars require no oil changes, fluids, filters, spark plugs, tune-ups, nothing at all aside from occasional brake and suspension work. Batteries are a concern, of course, but modern EV batteries are tested to 150,000 miles.
Energy independence: Wouldn't it be nice to drive cars that need no imported oil? Wouldn't it be nice to never fight another war in an oil-soaked country? Electricity for electric cars is all made right at home.

Electric cars are good because the to not pollute the environment and conserve natural resources but it is dangerous in the way that if there is electric shocket then it may harm us.

Alright Apeweek covered pretty much all the positives, so I’m here to cover the negatives.
Batteries: To date the batteries in electric cars have a few problems.
1. Highly toxic to produce: The mining process for the materials that go into the manufacture of these batteries is highly toxic, then their is the actual manufacturing process itself. Sure we wouldn’t’ have to worry about oil any more but other raw valuable materials are still needed. Worse yet hybrid batteries are non recycle, which is especially considering...
2. Short life span these batteries (realistically) will go about 5 years (ten years if are REALLY good to them). Once they go bust, as covered before, they are toxic, but also really expensive to produce and replace. An electric car really can go only 100-150,000 miles before it wears out, while traditional gas powered cars can go 200-300,000 will proper maintain.
3. Short range and long recharge times with few recharging stations make them impractical for anyone that drives more then 100 miles a day
Power generation/green factor:
Nissan likes to float the claim that their cars are “zero emission” this isn’t true. Ignoring the toxic manufacturing process people very rarely like to think about where the electricity to power electric car. Well if you live in America the answer is probably coal burning power plants. Even if it isn’t however all electric generation has an impact on the envierment.
Also many people are trading in their gas cars for electric cars this is a folly because the manufacturing process of any car out weights the cost and “green” benefits of just keeping your old one on the road unless its real clunker. To get the benefits of an electric car wait until you would have made your next traditional car purchase.
They don’t run off of oil (true) but they still need resources that are in even shorter supply. BTW as far as fighting for oil, most of our oil comes from North America. http://www.consumerenergyreport.com/research/crude...
Realistically its going to be hard to get your investment back, even with government rebates. If you want to go on a road trip or otherwise need to drive more then 100 miles or so a day regularly then you are going to have own and maintain a gas powered car anyway (or rent a car for those occasions) and that alone would make it hard to recoup the money you would invest in a electric car. Also if you where to move any system hardwired into your house would have to be reinstalled at your new location.
Pros to electric do include
lack of transmission makes power smother in electric cars(however with the CVT transmission gear changes are a thing of the past in gas powered cars as well)
High torque, especially on the low end.
They aren’t burning fuel at red lights (however start/stop tech DOSE exist in gas motors, eliminating this problem.
The only real pro to electric I can think of that can’t be applied in a electric car is they high efficiently, but that gets better with each passing year.

Electric cars are good because it is pollution free, it saves money of buying petrol, it reduce traffic jams. It is bad because we have to keep long time for charge in same place, if battery finished then no idea to drive, and it is costly than other car which run from petrol due to which middle-class people can hardly effort it.

it is all about keeping the need for oil. It has been 15 years since they invented first old toyota that could run on water, splitting it in to Hydrogen and oxygen, but it never came to production because there is still plenty money to be made from oil.

Perhaps it’s true when it comes to traditional stocks trading but definitely not true in the case of binaries. You don’t have to be an expert to predict the movement of certain assets.

they are good because they save our natural recources (gasoline) and dont polute the air, but they are bad because they are slow i guess and it would take alot of battery power and proabably not run for that long.Source(s): school
