Breaking a habitual habit.?

A friend recently confided that he was experiencing difficulty stopping the practise of masturbation. He confessed to commencing self gratification at a very early age. Now a married man with a growing family he still resorts to this method of sexual pleasure at least 3 to 4 times weekly. He admits his ability to satisfy his wife has diminished.

I've suggested he go public and see a professional therapist skilled in this illness. he is reluctant to expose himself to others, telling me how difficult it was to admit his failing to myself.

I'll keep pressing for the therapy treatment. Do any have a suggestion as to what self help may curtail these urgings?

Appreciate all replies.

All you have to tell him is if he doesn't stop his marriage will be ruined.

When she divorces him she will tell everyone why.
