Who was a better transfer: Alexis Sanchez vs. Jose Callejon?

Alexis Sanchez cost 26 million + 11 million in bonus compared to Jose Callejon, who cost only 5 million. Sanchez has scored 11 goals and 3 assists in 33 games, while Callejon scored 12 goals and 1 assist in 30 games.

Don't forget that Sanchez has started most of his games whilst Callejon hasn't which makes his contribution even more impressive than Sanchez's :)

If you're talking about which player is better this season, Alexis is by far the better transfer. Has scored when Barcelona needed a goal, such as the goal vs. Real Madrid, the goals vs. Bayer Leverkusen, Osasuna, Real Betis, he is not on form right now, but for the most part he is a big game player.

If you're talking about which team got more for their money then obviously Callejon. He was a great steal, but he mostly scores in consolation matches that have little importance, still trying to take anything away from him, he deserves the praise in a team that already has a bunch of fantastic wingers/attacking midfielders (C.Ronaldo, Oezil, Di Maria, Kaka).

Alexis Sanchez because he scores important goals. Don't just look at stats, they often mean nothing.

The best players score important goals, game winning goals, the goals in 1 goal margin wins. The more average players score the 4th or 5th goal in a game which they dominate. It's not impressive if a player comes off the bench and scores the 4th or 5th goal in a game, that is not called a super sub. A super sub wins you games, Callejon doesn't. Yes Callejon is a decent player but I reckon Sanchez is more important for his team and generally is the better player.

But if you're talking money, then we have to wait a little longer because both players are only in their first season!

Callejon was a better tranfer, He has started a few times and has played not for a long time (Mins) Compared to Sanchez who has played more minites.

Sanchez is surrounded buy Messi, Xavi, & Iniesta and they pass him the ball everytime, The only thing good about him is dribbling at fast speed while Callejon is much more of a team player, He assists a lot and does almost anything, I wonder why Mou dont regulary give him minites...

  • hold on,take in mind that callejon is a bencher and has been injured for so long.imagine if he were to start every game...where would alexis be?if at madrid callejon is a bencher then at madrid alexis would be a water boy.its the same with benzema.i'm certain that if benzema was to start every game as first choice starter then he would probably have more goals than both ronaldo and messi.the thing is,callejon is still very young and he will only get better.

Callejon ? Lol, even Cuenca is better than him as he sometimes play in important games, callejon only plays when the opposition team is dead after conceding 5 goals.

Clearly Callejon worked out far better.
