Is there a Walmart in india?

And if so, does it have the same stock than a walmart in other countries, like a canadian walmart? I know it probably doesn't have the same amount, but could you still find the same products?

walmart has started doing business in India in the collaboration with bharati group have base in gurugaon only/predominant only in some pockets of north India , no stores in south so far

    news.....

In August 2007, Walmart announced an agreement with Bharti Enterprises to establish a joint venture, Bharti Walmart Private Limited, for wholesale cash-and-carry and back-end supply chain management operations in India

New Delhi, September 15, 2011: Bharti Walmart, the joint venture between Bharti Enterprises and Walmart Stores Inc for wholesale, business to business and cash and carry operations in India, today launched its Women’s Economic Empowerment Initiative that aims to support and significantly expand economic opportunities for women across India.

regarding products , i think it changes country to country

what sells in US and canada may not find market in south asia and also what is available there may not be economically viable here and finally the policies like return policy of a product within 6months ,if you donot like the same, may be misused if implemented in India

The Indian government hasn't allowed Walmart to open stores in India since it has only allowed foreign corporations to act as wholesalers. It does jointly own a wholesale store called Best Price with an Indian corporation. That store is similar to a Sams Club in the United States.
