is the following a good opening paragraph for an essay on the transformation from innocence to corruption

When something changes in front of our eyes we do not realize its changing until we reflect upon the past, because gradually it moves and inches away from its past self morphing into something new, something different. Like knowledge always growing and changing built on basic information, simple words grow and grow into dramatic speeches, simple dreams grow into lavish novels. The idea is similar with morals and attitudes, they change slowly becoming more advanced and defined, and before long they cannot return. Humans gain experience through life events and they can never un-experience these events and so they become a part of them, changes them, humans lose their innocence sometimes without even realizing it. Like a school child learning about society they lose their ignorance, gain vanity and grow up quickly.

The price for knowledge is well known by those who have it, yet it is nothing more than a hurdle on the way to self-improvement for those who seek it. The p

who seek it. The progression from innocence to wisdom experienced by the main character in “The White Knight” is a subtle change until he has committed a once unthinkable now very real crime, even if only out of necessity. The knight had his innocence symbolically tarnished as his armour collected dirt and grime from his quest to tackle the black knight, and as he became to look more and more like the black knight his actions started to resemble that of one. The knight being “forced” to steal the buns from the bakery, being “forced” to replace his horse by taking another in order to complete his quest, these simple acts that he thinks are harmless are the same as the acts the black knight had preceded to do before the knights arrival in the town. The white knights innocence was a payment for his change in perspective and his new name “the good white knight” will always be reminder to him of his youth that was wasted away on a fruitless search, and the young knight death. How I would write it:

As things change in front of our eyes, it is difficult to realize it is changing until we have reflected upon our past, seeing it morph into something different. Knowledge is always expanding; simple words are morphed into dramatic speeches, and simple dreams creating extravagant novels. Morals and attitudes have a similar theme, which can slowly change becoming more advanced and defined. Humans gain experiences through life events, one’s they can never let go of and sometimes losing their innocence, such as a school child learning about society and gaining vanity.
