How Can I Work In USA?
I am a Canadian citizen, who is planning on moving to USA to live with my boyfriend. He has a house and job with the military there. I have been doing some research and have discovered that I would have to obtain a green card in order to get a job while living there. How would I begin the proccess of immigrating to the states and how would I get a green card so thus I can work there.

To obtain green card (immgirant visa), you must have a sponsor who has to file Petition for you. Only with approved petition, you can apply visa at US Embassy in your country. A sponsor can be your immediate family member (spouse, parent, child, or sibling) who is either US Citizen or US Permanent Resident. US Employer who is hiring you on permanent basis can be a sponsor as well.
To work in US, you must obtain Temporary Workers visa.
To obtain Temporary Workers visa, first you must be hired by US employer who is willing to file Petition for you. Only with approved petition, you can apply visa at US Embassy in your country.
Since you are Canadian citizen, you can also look into TN visa if you are qualified.

Your not going anywhere unless you get married to him. You can't apply for a greencard, he can apply for one for you.
Get a fiancé visa and you can come to the USA you get married withing 92 days and then get a conditional green card for 2 years.
If you get married first you do all the paperwork at home, takes about 8 months.
There are no girlfriend visas!

Call the immigration services and from there they will explain it all. When I went to a lawyer they said if a citizen of the USA asked for a green card for me I could have more chance of getting one.

There are no girlfriend visas.
Get married and let him sponsor you. That's the only what it's going to happen.
