Would the nutrients from a decomposing human body fertilize a plant, such as a tree if burried in proximity?

Yes, in some European countries, they freeze bodies then literally run them through something like a wood chipper and use them for fertilizer. I suggest reading the book "Stiff". It's all about decomposition, cremation, etc. Sounds gross but it's really fascinating.
