What do you say we give ourselves the full picture of Obama's economic success, shall we?

7.8% -- Unemployment rate when Obama took office

8.1% -- Today's unemployment rate

...(source: US Department of Labor)

142,187,000 -- Total number of people employed the day Obama took office

141,865,000 -- Total number of people employed today

...(source: US Department of Labor)

$1.27 -- Value of US dollar when Obama took office (in Canadian dollars)

$1.01 -- Value of US dollar today (in Canadian dollars)

...(source: www.xe.net)

$10,625,053,544,309.79 -- National debt the day Obama took office

$15,716,115,612,805.06 -- National debt today

...(source: US Treasury Department)

$1.82 -- The national average for unleaded gas, January 23, 2009

$3.73 -- The national average today

Isn't it time to call a spade a spade? President Obama has failed in every area to recover the economy. Has has created no jobs, he has not halted rising inflation, he has not controlled spending, and NOBODY in America is better off as a result of his policies.

Numbers don't lie; only liberals do.

We were losing over 700,000 to 800,000 jobs per month while Bush was in office and before any of President Obama's policies were passed. Since then we have had 25 months of positive private sector job growth.

Barack Obama: Increase of 157,368 manufacturing jobs per year in office

George W. Bush: Decrease of 434,143 manufacturing jobs per year in office

Right wings seem to think all spending associated with policies passed during the Bush years miraculously stopped when Bush left office.

You actually think a decrease in revenue due to the worst recession in history and Bush putting the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the trillion dollar prescription drug plan on a credit card has nothing to do with the debt.

After an initial jump in spending because of the stimulus and other emergency measures, spending quickly leveled out under President Obama. In fact at this point in his presidentcial term total federal spending has increased more slowly than under Reagan, Bush Sr. and Bush Jr.

*thinks president controls oil market, much like the leftists who blamed Bush for the 2007 energy price spike; and unemployment, a lagging indicator, wasn't the result of a massive property bubble which occurred just months prior.*

Yeah China and India certainly don't influence petrol price with increasing demand.

But you are right about the deficit. Social security and medicare liabilities in the future alone are worth somewhere around 70 trillion dollars, Demographic changes-- they are insolvent in the future as less workers will be supporting retirees, and anyone saying otherwise is blatantly lying.

Reminds me of Japan a lot.

Should we also blame him for Mitch McConnell and his proud leadership of the party of no . The smirk on his face and the party agenda which has costs us all dearly .

The national average price per gallon of gas June 2008 , $ 4.35 . So take your pathetic stats .

Before Bush my home had value . Before Romney my neighbor had a retirement .

What successes are you talking about..

... only successes he has to talk about is he successfully raised the debt by $15,000,000,000,000.00, and he successfully split the nation along racial lines so bad we have regress to the times back before the civil war, and let us not forget the success of his that led to the deaths of 30,,, Mexicans 600 Americans, and 200 more a day through his program called fast and furious.

LOL I love the fact that obama thinks he has a chance... LOL!

You did a great job on the economoic front but left out some things in regards to individual liberty

The U.S. government could not indefinately detain a u.s. citizen without a trial on January 23, 2009

    Today they can

The U.S. Government could not force a citizen to purchase a service on January 23, 2009

    today they can.

Yeah, the GOP is doing it's job to try to "deny" Obama a second term. Much of what you outline is a direct result of that GOP plan. I know you choose to ignore it, but did you think I and lots of voters do too? We don't, and we'll remember that and all the rest Republicans have done.

You're right, numbers don't lie. On the other hand, they can be very helpful to people who do, when properly cherry picked and arranged.

    Obama's policies have failed.

There is no logical reason to vote for four more years of this misery.
