    At STP 1 mole of any ideal gas occupies a volume of 22.4 L

    mass of 1 mole of C2H2 = (2 x 12.01) + (2 x 1.008) = 26.036 g

    So at STP 26.036 g of C2H2 has a volume of 22.4 L

    density = mass / volume

    = 26.036 g / 22.4 L

    = 1.16 g/L
