Many people are too easily pleased. Ronaldo disappears so often in big games that when he actually plays well his fans explode with excitement and shoot their load. Messi generally plays well in most big games so it's the norm for him.
The fact is that you're very excited about a Ronaldo performance in the group stage against a shocking Dutch defence who were taking full-backs off for strikers in a desperate search for the goals they needed to progress. The variables and conditions were very favourable to Ronaldo today.
Don't you think you should wait to see how he gets on against say, Spain, when he is playing against good defenders and a team who don't need to win 2-0 due to it not being a group stage game?
or how about Germany? The second best team of the tournament? Shouldn't we wait and see how he does against them? Oh, we already did see, and he was ******* invisible.
He performed under favourable conditions, clap clap Cristiano. Let's see how he does when it gets to the semis. In fact, I wouldn't put it past him to disappear against the Czechs before that.
")) So glad he finally did it!! And I knew the time was coming! Hope those critics now shut up."
**** me! Some of you are really stupid. You'd think it was the final...
Think about this: if Ronaldo is the best player in the world as some of you claim, why are you getting so giddy about him helping get his team out the group? Shouldn't he be judged on his performances in the latter stages?
FFS, your standards are so low!
"It's the fuel that keeps ignited the Ronaldo vs Messi debate."
There's no Ronaldo-Messi debate for anyone who understands football to even the slightest degree.
"So glad he finally did it!! And I knew the time was coming! Hope those critics now shut up."
LOL, this is you basically saying yourself that he's failed so often in big games in the past that he's now 'finally' done it.
If you constantly failed an exam, then finally passed, would you all of a sudden think you were amazing? Nah.
