Quite frankly I think he deserves that contract more than the other guys they have currently on the roster at his positions F/G like DeRozan, Kleiza, & James Johnson. Remember Fields was a rookie averaging 11 PPG/8 RPG/3 APG as a rookie before the Melo trade. He had a 21 pt/16 rb game against the Nuggets that season. He does a little bit of everything well and is a team player. He is more of a SF than a SG which is why he struggled a lot these past 2 yrs cause with Melo playing heavy minutes Fields played the SF spot less and less. Now he will play more of it and will be better @ it than what James Johnson was as the team's starting SF last year.
