What is the effect of this rhyme scheme ABAB CDCD EFEF?

    I suppose it gets as close to having close rhymes, and so tighter rhythm, without being nursery sounding couplets. So the effect would be a mature-sounding poem. Then with it being in quatrains, it makes it more readable and allows the poet to give the reader a definite place to rest between parts of the build up of the theme.

    That is one of the most natural feeling rhyme schemes for me to work with, . I really like ABBA CDDC EFFE though.
