How does the permittivity measured for air compare to that of the permittivity of free space.?

    Itis very close : dry air at standard atmospheric pressure is only very lightly different permittivity than vacuum so that air dielectric filters on spacecraft only shift a few kHz for tens of GHz centre frequency.
