2004 yamaha r6 will not start and when it does it stalls?
Okay so i have a 2004 yamaha r6 that will not start. However when it does, it will idle fine for what ever length i want it to but when i actually take it onto the street it will stall after a couple minutes and then it usually will not start again. Needless to say i haven't gone very far with it yet.
These are the things Ive attempted to fix the issue.
- i have clean the TPS
- replaced the spark plugs with new ones
- check the coils with a voltage meter and i am not getting a spark or any reading on the meter.
I am now thinking it is a problem with either the distributor or something. to be honest there are so many things that could be wrong with it.
Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be. Im going to be checking out the distributor as soon as i find something online that will show me how to do it.

Garrett, Remember, it needs Air, Spark, and gas. Im thinking spark here, ( Coil ), or maybe clogged air filter, or gas filter ? Good news is after you get it fixed it will run a very long time, and save repair bills, for if you sell it.
