I am pretty sure they will get to vote somehow if they show up. Hopefully a lot of people voted early. I should think that the news of the hurricane was properly advertised, and people could have made a point of voting early if they wanted to. I keep thinking what I would do if I were in their shoes. I would vote early because it's important for me. So I am thinking the ones who considered the election important enough did vote.

On a personal note, to quote a great Russian politician, it doesn't matter who votes, it matters who counts the votes.... We'll see.

Certainly it will lower voter turnout. Obama will still win those states, his lead in them is too strong to lose the, but lower turnout increases the chances of a Romney win in popular vote, with Obama winning the electoral college.

i'm just quessing but it should even out.

i don't think it's like more republicans or democrats wait til the last minute to vote.

i could be wrong but you wouldn't think the voting time of human beings would have much to do with whether they are conservative or liberal.

might be a slight advantage to obama because they(dems) promoted the idea that there might be voter surpression on election day so more dems voted early.

source: i actually thought it out. i didn't just pull an answer out of my *** because i favor one side over the other.

By law they have to make voting available to everyone regardless of what has happened.

The question is, will everyone be able to make it or will they be motivated to vote. As far as how it could affect each candidate, that remains to be seen.

It may affect a few especially those who have not received help or assistance. It is a horrible thing to go through for anyone.

Good point! I think it will if he does an excellent job getting aid where it is needed in a timely fashion.

It would be funny if it blocked all the liberal voters from being able to vote
