biology help please!! about population growth of yeast cell?

The population was sampled every hour for 21 hours and the results of the estimated population size were recorded in the table below.

a) Identify the three distinct phases.

b)What population growth model does the population appear to follow? Write out the mathematical equation it follows.

The best way to answer this question is to graph the data points.

    a. lag phase is from 0 hours to about 4 hours. the exponential phases occurs from 4 hours to 12 hours. the stationary phase is from 12 to 20 hours. i guess theres not a death phase.

    b. This exhibits exponential growth. # of cells at time t = initial amount of cell * e ^ rate * time

the population of yeast cells cannot go beyond 600; this is the carrying capacity.

Molasses includes sugar, and yeast desires sugar to develop. Yeast metabolizes specific sugars extra effective than others, and molasses includes severe quantities of sucrose, fructose and glucose. So yeast ferments interior the molasses and produces CO2.
