When and why did each nation join the Allied and Axis Powers?

Axis: Germany, Japan, Italy

Allies: U.S., Britain, Canada, Russia

I'm not quite sure if there was other countries in there but yeah. I'm studying of my exams and I need to make sure if I got the information correct.

1922, payments by I.G. Farben and General Electric in 1933, followed by the Standard Oil of New Jersey and I.T.T. subsidiary payments to Heinrich Himmler up to 1944. US multi-nationals under the control of Wall Street profited handsomely from Hitler's military construction program in the 1930's and at least until 1942.

Henry Ford was an early (1922) Hitler backer and Edsel Ford continued the family tradition in 1942 by encouraging French Ford to profit from arming the German Wehrmacht. Subsequently, these Ford-produced vehicles were used against American soldiers as they landed in France in 1944. For his early recognition of, and timely assistance to, the Nazis, Henry Ford received a Nazi medal in 1938. The records of French Ford suggest Ford Motor received kid glove treatment from the Nazis after 1940.

in 1939 ITT and GM financed SKF in Gotenburg to ensure that they could Supply all the ball bearing needed to Build hitlers Trucks tanks and aircraft and in 1943 SKF of Philadelphia sent 600,000 units a year Via spain to Germany and Failed to supply the US army more than 23 % of their needs

Britain and France were the original 'allies' declaring war on Germany on sep3/39.

Several countries [eg Australia, India etc] became 'allies' because using one example they were members of the British Empire also being 'allies' when Britain declared war.

Other countries [eg Canada sep10/39] joined the Allies because of heritage and commitment, the Brits helped out Canada during The War of 1812 so in WWI and WWII pay-back is fair play.

Yet others [Russia jun21/41, the USA dec7/41] didn't so much 'join' the allies as the Axis attacked them first so what side they were one wasn't much of a choice thing.

Even more [Mexico, many South American countries] joined the allies just to be on the winning side and ideally get some crumbs dropped from the peace table.

Germany and Italy hooked up signing the Pact of Steel in may/39, being both fascists with a common hate-on for Bolsheviks and Russia

Romania Bulgaria and Hungary joined the Axis for the same reason.

After Pearl Harbour Germany declared war on the USA in support of their ally Japan dec17/41.

"I'm not quite sure if there was other countries in there"

    Aden Protectorate (former South Yemen)

British Malaya (today's Malaysia and Singapore)

British Raj (today's India, Bangladesh, Burma and Pakistan)

    Costa Rica

    Dominican Republic

Dutch East Indies (present-day Indonesia and New Guinea)

    El Salvador

French Indochina (today's Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam)

    French Guiana

    The Netherlands

    New Zealand

    Saudi Arabia

    Soviet Union

Trucial States (today's United Arab Emirates)

    The United States

Begin originally as Germany, Italy and Japan with others joining as follows:

    Vichy France

    Formosa (present-day Taiwan)

    Hope that helps :)

some recommendations on questions like those: JWs are no longer pacifists, merely politically independent. JWs might flow to conflict if there grew to become right into a God sanctioned government with God sanctioned wars, like with historic Israel. however the Christian congregation is religious, no longer actual like Israel grew to become into. JWs do no longer bypass judgment on countries who choose for to flow to conflict - that's portion of the neutrality. The Bible shows that frequently God used pagan countries to end a number of his purposes. God might have used the Allies to defeat the Axis powers - or according to danger no longer, we won't understand for beneficial. yet God finding out directly to apply a united states of america to end a purpose does not advise he condones each little thing they do. as an occasion, God used pagan kings, even regardless of the undeniable fact that they've been idol worshipers. some human beings say JWs acquire the reward of what the Allies provided. yet remember, the JWs weren't portion of the project. there have been no JWs who have been Germans combating against the Allies. yet Catholics and Protestants and Atheists fought against the Allies.
