Major General Smedley D. Butler USMC (RET)

Wrote a book... "WAR IS A RACKET" 1935

    A Must Read...abe.com

Personally I think anyone that is thinking of going

into the Military Service should be required to read it...

Also if I had read it prior to Enlisting into the Marines in 1968...

    I would not have Enlisted...

As any War we are in the Bottom line is always

OIL and Raw Resources for "Big Business"...

Vietnam, was OIL in the Spratley Islands...

    The Tonkin Gulf Incident...Never Happened...

(Remember Johnson was "Big Oil" and already knew about that OIL...

Hence had JFK assassinated...because JFK wasn't going to send Troops...)

    Source(s): Retired Marine...100% Combat Disabled...

the unocal pipeline in afghanistan is almost complete , so the " combat mission " will end too . however , the " guard the pipeline mission " will last forever . the army has built 14 permanent bases there to protect americas oil profits .
