United States Age Distribution Data?

I need to find data on the age distribution of the population of the United States.

I do not need age groups! For example, I need to know how many 18 year olds lived in the US in 1980. How many 19 year olds lived in the US in 1980... 20 years olds, and so on.

Is there a website of data set that can tell me this? I can't find any.

Here are some sites you can browse to see if you can dig out any ungrouped data.

    https://www.google.com/#hl=en&sclient=psy-ab&q=uni...

If you can't find anything, you can also try a professional research librarian.

    > The Boston Public Library and the New York City Public Library will do research (for free) by phone or email. Call/write and tell them what you want, and they will return your call/mail with the data.

    > Your own municipal library may have research librarians

    > Any university library probably employes research librarians, but you might have to go there in person to use their services
