I looked up every piece on amazon and calculated the total cost to ~$877 + shipping on 2 items. So, if you buy from these sources you might be able to save a few bucks

Yeah you ignored the OS. i might replace the Seagatecontinual for a WDcontinual. that is basically me although; I dislike Seagate. Maxxtor is a branch of Seagate now. anyhow, that could be a rather stable setup. shop your new CPU cooler. manufacturing unit heatsinks artwork, yet are not too stable while you would be overclocking. you ought to use any OS, although i might propose Vista in case you decide directly to apply DX10. Vista isn't a foul OS, you basically ought to run some classes as administrator (there's a checkbox on application properties) to get it to no longer lag. 2gb of RAM is high quality, 3gb could be nicer (be sure which you do get a similar type and same specifications. Do 2x1gb and 2x512mb). in case you propose on going above 4gb RAM, get a 64bit OS like Vista x64 or XP professional x64. For some reason although, i'm thinking you could actually get that fee down. i do no longer understand what to alter to do it although. It basically seems extreme to me. have you ever priced out a distinctive type of RAM, or is that the main inexpensive?

It's a good build, but you might wanna consider getting another card like gtx 660 or gtx 670 which are far more superior. If you are on a tight budget, don't worry, the card will do it's best with i5 and coming to the RAM, install one stick in the 1st slot and 2nd stick in the 3rd slot as alternatives to get advantage or double data rate.
And please pick this as a best answer if this helps because we contribute a lot from our part, but people are too lazy to say thanks by picking best answers

i like it but maybe an x79 motherboard and a gtx660 ti would do you better? otherwise its pretty good.
