Is Freud still worth reading and studying today?

Or is the consensus amongst psychologists that he and his theories are discredited?

I can't say what the consensus is, but keeping an open mind and considering all the information from all psychologists and psychiatrists can only increase your abilities as a psychologist.

Just because one group or another condones or condemns a person's work does not presuppose it won't be of any value to you ... but if you're just looking for an excuse not to read Freud's work, you can create your own. You don't need the approval or permission of others.
