You can't get rid of the Welcome page completely. What you can do is get rid of login passwords and have only 1 profile on the computer. This will make the computer load straight into the desktop, but you'll still have a Welcome screen. The best way to get fast startups is to use an SSD. You can get an SSD and clone the HDD onto it. This will allow you to keep everything AND get the faster startup times. I recommend using Clonezilla (http://clonezilla.org/). You can only do this if the SSD is larger than the HDD, so if you have (let's say) a 500GB HDD, you'll need a 500GB SSD. Typically, the large SSDs (over 240GB) are about 1 dollar for every gigabyte, so be prepared to put out a lot of cash to get fast startups. Something you can do is if your 500GB drive only has 100GB used (again, for instance), you can create a partition on the HDD to make effectively a 100GB HDD. You can then get a smaller SSD and just clone the small partition over to it.

CCleaner is a freeware system optimization and privacy tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. CCleaner also fixes your registry. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware.
