I'm not sure what a candadian is. A Canadian however, would have to emigrate to the United States, obtain a green card and then join.

What's wrong with joining the Canadian military?

    Mrsjvb...You are so wrong...

I had my Green Card less than a week and I was standing on

those Little Yellow Foot Prints at MCRD Parris Island, SC...

    This is what I did...

Went to the Marine Recruiter in Buffalo NY...

Did all of the Tests and Passed...

Took Copies of my Recruiting papers and a letter from the Recruiter...

Filed out all of my Papers for Immigration...

Then handed them all over to a Marine SGT (as instructed)

at the US Consulate in Toronto CA...

Less than 45 days later was in the USA with my Green Card...

But did have Family (Father) and a permanent USA Address...

That maybe your down fall...not having those ???

Just like every other enlistee, you must either be a citizen or permanent resident alien!
