Muslims, do you believe Jesus died in the Cross?

I know Muslims don't believe Jesus was God, rather he was just a prophet teaching Islam. But how did he die? Did he die on the Cross??

Also, how did Christians become misguided to believe he was God, instead of just a prophet?

Muslims deny that Jesus died on the cross and therefore they deny he was resurrected. “That they (the Jews) said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:- Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise;- Qur'an, sura 4 (An-Nisa) ayat 157-158. They say a substitue was nailed to the cross.

Some 600 years after the event, Islam comes up with “an explanation” to counter the eyewitness testimonies of Jesus’ friends and relatives. Allah did not allow the Jews to kill Jesus, they say, but Allah took him up to heaven. Allah deceived the Jews into thinking they had killed Jesus. But this begs the questions, why did Allah honour Jesus the lesser Prophet and why did Allah allow Muhammad the greater Prophet to die? In the Hadith (the Traditions) Jesus is said to play a very important role for the end times. He will kill the Dajjal (the leader of the Jews), live for a period of time and then die a natural death and be buried with the Prophet according to the Ulama of the Ahlus (Fathul - Bari & Ashratus - Sa'ah). "When Prophet Jesus returns for the second time he will reign as a Khalifh and not a Prophet, follow the Qur'an and Sunnah and rule according to it. He will break the cross the Christians worship, elevate and spread Islam through out the world." (NOTE: Christians do NOT worship the cross.)

The thinking behind the whole Islamic distortion of Jesus is now clear. Islam cannot have it that Jesus died and was resurrected because that would elevate him to being much more than a mere man, even a Prophet. If Jesus had died and been resurrected, then Christianity would have been proved right in claiming Jesus was the Son of God, a divine person. No, they must dispense with the truth and insert the lie that Allah deliberately allowed the Jews to think they had killed Jesus, but Allah took Jesus up to heaven because he has to return to earth as a Muslim and a follower of Allah in order to destroy Christianity.

Peter and John, men who knew Jesus personally, testified that “The god of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus… You disowned the Holy and Righteous One… You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this” (Acts 4:13-15). Peter also said the resurrected Jesus would be “rejected by men but chosen by God” and that he is “a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. They stumble because they disobey the message – which is also what they were destined for” (1 Peter 2:4-8). That is why the Jesus of the Bible bears no resemblance to the Jesus of the Qur’an. Islam refuses to acknowledge that this Jesus is the Son of God who will return to judge all who reject him.

It is a recorded and witnessed fact that Jesus of Nazareth was crucified unto death, and a Roman soldier's spear was thrust under his ribs, through his lungs and into his heart to make sure he had died. After his dead body was taken down for burial before sunset (as was the custom before the start of a holy Sabbath day), it was wrapped in cloths, laid in a tomb and a huge stone seal was placed at the entrance to the tomb. Just to ensure nobody came to steal the body, the Romans placed guards outside. It is also a recorded and witnessed fact that Jesus appeared to hundreds of people three days after he was put to death. That being the case, the Qur'an is at odds with the recorded and historical facts and it is one of the primary reasons for concluding that Islam is false.

The Jesus (Isa) of the Qur'an bears no resemblance to the Jesus of the Bible. And as for the suggestion that the Bible was corrupted, even to the extent that Jesus' disciples got it all wrong, that simply illustrates how desperate Islam is to deny who Jesus REALLY is. LM

No according to the Islamic teachings Jesus (peace be upon him) was taken up into heaven by Allah Almighty he did not die on the cross as Christians interpret it. But it appeared to the people who witnessed the crucifixion that it was Jesus or Esa (peace be upon this great messenger). That is because God would never do such a horrible thing to his Prophets. He is also regarded as the Messiah in Islam as well as Christianity. And according to Islam it is said that he will return to the Earth again as the Messiah.

He did not die but was raised by Allah to the First Heaven. He will remained there until such time the antiChrist appear.

Judas was made to appear like him and was crucified instead.

Early Christians were comprised of 3 groups, the first believe he was God,the second believe he was the Son of God and the third believe he was a prophet. The first two groups conspired and together they eliminate the third.

We believe that Jesus (PBUH) was taken away and replaced by a same-looking person who died on the cross. Jesus (PBUH) will return to tell people that He was only a Prophet and not God nor the son of God. He is not dead, he is alive but with Allah. PM me if you want to know more about Islam..:)

    he did not died

he will die after his second coming

Abû Hurayrah reported that the Prophet - sallallâhu ’alayhi wa sallam - said, "The Prophets are like brothers; they have different mothers but their religion is one. I am the closest of all the people to Jesus son of Mary, because there is no other Prophet between him and myself. He will come again, and when you see him, you will recognise him. He is of medium height and his colouring is reddish-white. He will be wearing two garments, and his hair will look wet. He will break the cross, kill the pigs, abolish the Jizyah and call the people to Islâm. During his time, Allâh will end every religion and sect other than Islâm, and will destroy the Dajjal. Then peace and security will prevail on earth, so that lions will graze with camels, tigers with cattle, and wolves with sheep; children will be able to play with snakes without coming to any harm. Jesus will remain for forty years, then die, and the Muslims will pray for him." (Ahmad)
