What is the best car engine?

Question

2.8L V6 or a 3.6L V6. For a 2006 cadillac CTS wich ones the best and whaf makes it good?

I prefer the 3.6L basically because it has more power and sounds a lot meaner, plus they have more aftermarket parts for it. But as a mpg standpoint neither is really better nor worse.
