Should assisted suicide be legal for people with schizophrenia?

nearly 50% of people with schizophrenia attempt suicide with awful results. 25% of those 50% succeed

    Yes, schizophrenics, like myself, should have access to assisted suicide. We are in a constant state of agony, if we want to kill ourselves why not help us out with some ANASTHESIA!

    They say up there that we are not of sound mind to do it, but if someone is that out of his mind that he can't even decide whether or not to kill himself then that is just another reason to kill yourself isn't it?!

    But im going to go the extra mile on this one and say that anyone who wants to kill themselves should have help in doing so, it would be easier for the people who are going to kill themselves anyway and you could harvest their organs and save the lives of those who need them and want to live!

    No , they are not of sound mind, and there for you could not assist them. Now If they saved up a bunch of the right medicines, they could do that themselves. But you would still not be able to help them take them. That's your problem, they can't provide informed consent, as they are mentally Ill.
