Can i use linux as 2nd os along with windows 7/8?

    Yes, It's a common practice with gaming PC's. Using windows for games and your favorite linux distro for most everything else. You have one of two options. First you could use a formatted USB flash to store your secondary OS and leave your primary one on your internal HDD or SSD. In order to boot to your secondary OS you must go into the boot menu and boot into it manually.

    Secondly, if you don't mind splitting your HDD capacity in half. You could partition your HDD and install linux on your second HDD partition. This is a bit more involved, I would recommend youtubing this to execute this properly.

    So yes, it's very possible.
